Garlic 2/16/25

Bearden UMC Community Garden - Garlic 2/16/25

In November, I planted garlic cloves in our greens bed along side of the building. Last week I noticed that half of my garlic shots had been pulled out. I have also found bags of miscellanous items in the garden. I suspect that a human has pulled up the sprouts. Most animals, like squirrels, do not like garlic, so I eliminate them as my suspect. I planted some more garlic today. I hope whoever took the garlic felt well fed.

November is the usual time to plant garlic and then harvest in June.

Thanks, Leigh
